The aresol spray can works great for cleaning goop off of pcb's after etching.
I made a couple of boards today using the Laser Jet / Photo paper method also touched up a few spots with a sharpie.
Spray the Goof Off on and everything practically runs off! A little soap and water is needed to clean the residue from the goof off.

This stuff smells suspiciously like carburetor cleaner.

I don't know if this holds true with the spray but the liquid is quite harsh on some plastics. It tends to melt acrylic.

It's a combination of solvents, but the primary one is xylene. Xylene is nice because it is non-polar and mildly aggressive.... somewhat like slow motion acetone.
Eschew paradigm obfuscation

Laser jet toner is actually a form of plastic isn't it?
Also don't get the stuff on any painted, stained or varnished finish.

Should try to avoid the fumes too.... :-X

Xylene is a pretty toxic chemical (in my opinion).

I certainly wouldn't use it in a family environment.
