I was wondering if anyone has or knows a schematic for a pot connected through the effects loop, so you can adjust the power amp volume with out bringing down the preamp.  Im pretty sure it would be just a pot, but what value and do you need a cap?

I think it would work well without a treble bypass cap when used in the FX loop. Especially if you use a pot of e.g. 10k-100k. If you notice treble loss on low settings, it would be very easy to add a cap. Just experiment with different values until you find one that works well.
