Quick and easy OpAmp question

I am just wondering about Opamps and have read plenty to have a purchase on how they work.

I have some TL072's and Some TL082's sat around but I dont really know specifically what the functional difference is between them.  Can someone tell me in simple terms please as looking at datasheets that are miles long isnt helping

 They're both standard pinout dual opamps. The TLO82 is a little less noisy than the TLO72, and neither one is particularly niosy. They're pretty much interchangeable.

Oh I see, I knew the pinout was the same on them.  Not much point to having both types sat around if I could just the other then lol
