Cheap way to make PCB.

You said *CHEAP*... right?  For simple prototypes, I draw it on the board with a permanant marker, then use ferric chloride and then tin the traces by hand.  Not the best way to do it, but quick and easy for fast and dirty projects, and if you draw it wrong, just erase the marker with isopropyl alcahol and start over

HEH... yeah,  just didn't see it mentioned in the previous two pages of thread, so i thought I'd bring it up.

And before you draw the traces on the copper, tape a print of the PCB onto it & use a centre punch (or a nail for the cheapskates here  :icon_smile:) to mark the holes. Then it's pretty hard to draw the lines in the wrong place! and pretty hard to mess up the drilling.

The cheapest method would be salt-water electrolysis. Hehe, sounds crazy, but i saw some guy do it on some other electronics website.
