Hi guys! It has been a long time since the last time I entered the forum, I have been quite busy.
Today I disassembled my guitar for a clean up, and decided it was time to experiment with it, it's my first guitar, it's not something i would regret modifying at all.

Researching on the internet I arrived to the conclution that doing this to the guitar was what I preferd:
http://www.1728.com/guitar2.htm I would like to ask what you guys think about it, would you prefer doing something different? That one really called my atention. And, for if you read it how can I find out which pickup is reverse wound and has reverse polarity (RWRP)? I have a Samick stratocaster.. bought maybe 2002 from Indonesia.

Bye bye, its a pleasure to see you all again ;)

PS What do you thing about putting buffers inside the guitar, which effects would this have. Do you reccomend any?

see you all, have a nice day.

Sounds fun. I did a less crazy toggle switch job on my first strat years and years ago.

If you've got a RWRP pickup it is historically in the middle since that's the only one that could be combined with another pickup using the standard wiring.

If your guitar is quieter in the in between positions, then you've got a RWRP pickup in the middle. If you've already removed them from the guitar the reverse polarity is pretty easy to determine because it will be magnetized backward.

Thanks a lot!

Its get quieter while using combined positions, so that is it :D

I have already removed them. So, if i put neck and bridge together, they get together(lol), if i do that with the middle they should repel?

Thanks a lot, i'll proceed with that project.

Do you recommend putting a buffer inside the guitar??

bye bye!

A new doubt appeared,

If i do these i will be losing one tone control? that tone control is general?

Thanks a lot, hope i dont bother

EDIT: Do you think a stratoblaster is a good option to put inside a guitar?

Adding a booster / buffer, could be great / or not.

The stuff adds weight. Not much, but it's there.

If you're playing a traditional fuzz face you might not like the booster in front of it. That's about the only one I can think of that'd have a problem with it. Some other gain distortion pedals will need setting adjusted to suit.

Mostly question of taste. Why not try it, see if you like it.

I'll go ahead with the stratoblaster and a swithc to shut it down.

On the web page posted says the RWRP has to be first. And in the photo posted i believe(not sure) its not first, i should change the neck with the middle right??(In order to maximize the humbucking possibilities, the pickup that is reverse wired with reverse polarity (RWRP)should be on the "left" side of the circuit.)

One last question, if doing this, i would be losing a tone control?? Because in the diagram i see only one. If so, can I get back my tone control? or they wont be working one for each pickup any longer?

If it's lost I will change a tone control for a gain control of the stratoblaster :P

bye bye, thanks a lot!

I would put the RWRP in the position that you are going to be most often mixing with the other pickups. But then I did not look at that site very carefully. Since they are doing some crazy phase and series/parallel action you might want to just follow directions, don't cut the pickup leads until you know you like it.

Yep, you'd lose a tone control. I like your idea of using it on the booster. Exactly what I'd suggest for it.

I don't think you need to actually move the middle pickup.  All he's talking about is where it fits into the wiring.  From what I'm seeing, the pic you've posted below has the RWRP in the middle position.

You do lose one tone control.  The guitar becomes master volume and master tone, no individual tone knobs.  Not sure if you can get that tone control back.  The guys over at the GuitarNuts board are really nice and if anybody can do it they can.

I'll change that knob for a gain control of the Stratoblaster im going to put in it.

The RWRP will stay in the middle(physically taking), what i was saying was that:

It should be like this:

Middle pickup in the left of the wiring diagram.

And compared to this:

I see the neck pickup on the left of the wiring. I should swap middle for neck, right?? Neck and bridge position matter in the wiring diagram, or is it the same which one i put in which.

Thanks a lot once again, you guys rock :D

Cya!
