I ordered this PCB pre-made by $uperpuma.  He did a great job.  I got the board populated and soldered but I still have to finish it up.  This is my first non perf project.  Even though I didn't etch the board myself this is still a fun project.  I can't wait to finish it.  At this point I'm using 5952 fets and TL082 dual opamps.  This may change depending on what works best.  I'll keep you posted.

great job!! :D
both Pcb etching and your soldering. very clear looking for the complex work.

wanna build this if i have the dc charge pump ic.

$uperpuma

man that was fast! :) can't wait to hear it!
Breadboards are as invaluable as underwear - and also need changed... -R.G.

Can i use NE5517 to substitue LM13600? I have tried building this monster before with no luck. Might try it next year.

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

Yeah, use the NE5517, that should be OK.

Reading the datasheet it looked like the 5517 would work but I wasn't sure so I let someone else chime in first.
Nate the reason I got going on this so fast was because I had the parts for it ordered for some time.  With the holidays here there wasn't much time to get much done.  That's why I ordered the etched PCB from you since I couldn't work on the project for a week anyways.  But I hope I finish it before NewYears eve or my wife will be P.O.'d if I'm still working on pedals during the count down.  :icon_rolleyes:  What is her problem?  Well I'd better get to work on it and I'll fill you in on the progress.  Thanks for the compliments although soldering is the easy part.  $uperpuma did all the work..

I noticed that I have 2 1M pots.  One is a Rev Log and the other linear.  I assume that the Rev log is for the speed and the linear is for decay.  I'm not positive about it.  Does anyone know which is which?

Well I finished building and troubleshooting the FSH-1.  This was a pleasent project for me since I usually perf board everything.  That was a lot of wires to and from all the switches and pots.  A big thanks again to $uperpuma for offering to make the PCB for me.  I would've have hated to even try to perf this project.
It sounds great and it fired right up once I had the fets in correct. :icon_redface:  I haven't had a chance to really go through it yet but I can say this.  NICE AUTO WAH!!  This thing can quack your head off.  I didn't use the 2N5952 jfets.  They sounded harsh for some reason.  I decided on MPF 102 jfets for now.  As for the tranny,  I started out with a 3904 then 4401, 5210 and ended  up with a 2N2222.  I still haven't decided between the 2222 or the 3904 but I'm going to try others too later on.  I used two TL082's and haven't tried anything else yet and I'm not sure that really matters.  There is some ticking which I expected so that's no big deal.  It looks like I'm going to have a blast messing around with this pedal.
I'll post pics and sound clips in a few days.  Thanks again Nate.

I forgot to thank FP from Tonepad.  Thanks FP and Tonepad for the nice circuit and one of the craziest effects I've made yet.  The PCB $uperpuma made for me was from the Tonepad website.  As usual the Tonepads schems are great.  With 5 knobs and 3 stomp switches this pedal will keep me busy for some time.  Nice job on this FP.  Tonepad.com ROCKS!!!
