How to mod a TS-9 to asy. clipping?

I would like to mod it like the landy. pedal.  I saw the schem. two diodes in series and one diode.  Where do the two diodes go (as in the picture)  on the left or the right.  Which diodes are the clipping diodes?  Should I use 1N914 diodes or NOS 1S1588 or are there others that are supposed to be better?  Does anyone know what R.K. does to upgrade the switching?  He says he changes the 510K input resistor to 620k to raise the impedance would this change the sound of the pedal when "on"?  Sorry to post another TS topic, and thanks for your help.

I don't remember the Landgraff schem, but one diode 'points' to ground, one doesn't. I don't know that it makes a difference (I think it should) but I'm not sure. Check with the schem.

I really think this site can answer the rest of your questions better than anyone else here can, no point in re-inventing the wheel, so to speak:

R.G. talks about the input buffer stage and the input impedance, there's no recommendation for upping the 510k resistor. I'd play around with that, usually increasing the input impedance will give you a brighter sound.

As far as the diodes, I'd stick some sockets in there and experiment. What's best for your ears/rig isn't best for everyone.

I suspect more 'boutique' tube screamer builders have pored over this site than anywhere else for information.
