Heres a layout for the DeArmond Square Wave fuzz. Like the 1978 MXR Distortion + layout I recently did, this one follows the originals layout VERY closely. Its for freaks like me who get a kick out of recreating the FX the way they originally were.

Enjoy,

What did you use to lay that out?

I do it by hand with Microsoft Paint. I basically....

*take photos/scans of the original board "trace side", as well as the component side
*overlay the traces/conections/etc in black
*convert to a b&w bitmap,
*clean it up
*copy the image
*flip it so that it matches the component side of the board
*overlay it on the component side photo
*measure the component values or consult the schematic
*draw it up

Its a long, PITA process, but it is kinda neat (and fun). I purposefully DON'T duplicate the original pedals artwork 100%...just close enough to "pay tribute".
