Dunlop Wah Volume Problems after Mod

Great responses everyone!  Thanks for the input, I guess I may have read it wrong from the getgo, I am going to try to re-add the buffer because the trace has been cut.  Does anyone know the type of caps are in the buffer, those little yellow ones, are they tantelum?  I know that they both have different values also, what are the values and which position does each go in?  I am going to electronics surplus store and settle this thing the right way.

As for the 4.7uF, all i can say is that it was part of the problem, the wah swell is back for sure, now its just the wierd volume issue.  The volume itself shouldnt change too much, it should just be the swell that occurs in the rock.
