Hi all!

I'm trying to disassemble a wah shell (Crybaby type), and I'm having a hard time removing the top part (the part that swivels) from the bottom of the shell.
There's a metal axle going through both parts that makes the connection; it has to be removed. Now the question is: is it glued in or does it just need a good smack to get out?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that you have to loosen the bracket first, the determine which is the larger of the two ends of the axle thing. I'm pretty sure that it only goes in and out one way. TheBattleofMidway and for sure, Paul Morrosy would be able to tell you.

Yes, loosen the bracket first. Then use a center punch or similar device to remove it. But, be careful - it goes in and out from one side only. I knock it out from the side opposite from the one that has the teeth on it (IIRC).

Yes, as stated loosen up the flat spring quite a bit and whack it from the output jack side. Be sure to be some lithium grease on the spindle/axle at the area where it contacts the flat spring , when putting it back together.

Sorry about the spelling of your name Paul, I was in a hurry.

Smacked it with a center punch.
Came out nice and clean. Didn't even had to do it very hard...

Thanks guys!
