I had an early one done on perf, which never worked - this was probably
the fault of my inexperience at the time ( three years ago ) so built another
from Torchy's layout.
I just got the old one out again and spotted the mistakes !
Both the gain and bass pots were not grounded !!  :icon_redface:
I guess as a third build, it was beyond me then, interesting that I spotted it within
about 30 seconds !!  .... I've learned so much.
Anyhow, for some reason it sounds even better than MKII so it's just gone in the box!!

Cracking circuit BTW, which I dont hear much of these days

There it is...must have went right past me last time.
Oops...this must have been built before I knew how to 'catch good'.
Like a litmus test or accurate barometer of how your'e doing with debugs, reviving and fixing an old circuit that couldn't be fixed then instills a solid confidence in ones ability to debug, for me, there's still LFO's and calculus and
etc. to tackle.

Seems crazy that I missed it at round one !!
Still, the recovery made me VERY happy :D
