The problem is that when I open the guitar volume up the pedal gives some hum. Can I put a input coupling cap in this pedal and would it help, and if it helps how can I do that?
Also tone control is acting strangely, it lifts volume level up quite a bit after 4 O'Clock position.

These problems must just be mistakes. The Unit does not do this normally.
Which layout did you use?

Other than checking to make sure all the parts as the correct values, make sure you do not have any solder bridging between places which should not be touching. Use a pair of strong reading glasses or a magnifying loupe to double check the soldering. It's easy to make a small connection by accident.

High gain pedal, a bit of guitar volume rolloff can help, could be the PS is getting noise in there? try battery to compare.

Not so sure on this, tone controls are variable passives, ie they will cut signal that's what they do, ie if you shunt highs to ground and rolloff low end or mids, that is simply taking signal @ frequencies away, you should have boosted output level with any TC settings if compensating with the volume control w/ BSIAB I think, I don't have one here.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I have triple checked everything and they are OK. Hum starts after the gain pot is turned over 12 O'Clock position. I can tweak the hum out with my guitar volume pot, but it eats too much gain. I am using this layout http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album28/BSIAB2_Verify . Thanks for answering.

C1 looks like it might have been burnt it's darker than it was before I soldered it. Could that cause the hum. I don't have any caps of that value right now, so I can't test it.

I just checked groundings with DMM and they were OK.  There is no problem in my guitar, because I tested it with other effects. I´am very puzzeled with this one.
