i did a search and couldn't find anything on them here.  It's fine though, because i was outbid on them anyway   which one of you was it?!

There is only one way to know if they are good: use RG test to know hfe and leakage, and if they pass the test then breadboard a FF. If they are leaky for a FF you can try other circuits like rangemaster.
In general if the transistor is not hissy or too leaky it can be used. The transition freq is important also.
