Hey people!
Anyone around who has tried the opamp switching like described on beavisaudio.com/projects/screamerlab ?
Want to do it to my TS, just wondering if there already is someone who tried it, and if it really works...
Thanks! ;)

I've swapped them, but never stacked and hooked up to switches like that! To me the differences in opamps were subtle, with no clear winner. I wound up using a house-numbered oddball 4558 replacement(sk-2365 or something), sounded ever so slightly better. Now, I can see how stacking them and running 2 might make a difference...

Some of the other mods in that thing look like they would have a much larger overall affect on the sound...

edit- oh, btw I have a ts9. Same thing really.

I would think it may be more trouble than it's worth but, I've personally never tried it though.

Hmmm, yeah, kinda expected that. People think about it, but never really get to doing it....
I thought the differences would be bigger, so ordered a JRC4558D, RC4558P and a TLC2something with my TS parts. Difference wasn't very big indeed. But, I'm an economical kind of person (sorry, I'm Dutch:P) so I thought it would be a waste not to use them all. I'll give it a try, already found a nice switch that will do the trick, and I'll keep you posted!
Thank you for your replies  :D
