Is this an easy way to check leakage on a geranium trannie (assuming it works)?

Also an easy way to check gain?

No, but this one is:

The Super Cricket in the right hands will do everything but MAKE germanium transistors.

I would not part with mine; $34 is a real, true bargain if it works.

what will this do then RG???

as opposed to yours...

m_charles

just wanted to bump to see if you're still around RG...

This one looks like it has much the same capability as my germanium leakage tester, but boxed up with its own meter and switches.

The Cricket will do much more - including checking FETs.

Makes me really wish I had the manual for my Sencore TF17.
