A Few Quick Questions

Ya I figured the transistor question shortly after opening my mouth. I bought them from futurlec and they have data sheets for all their transistors...so yeah.

Damn so I need a 1N100. Do you think a 1N34a or 1N270 would be a good substitute?

Can anyone confirm if a 1N34a will work? I pretty sure it will but I want to be sure.

A 1N34A should work fine.

Is there two leads in the insulations? Does one go to ground and the other to the joint?

Yes you can wire it with the shielding to ground and the core to whatever signal you want to pass.  Most people just use normal wire.  Shielded wire is useful, however, if the pedal is oscillating badly.

Basically, I wouldn't use that type of wire for most applications.  I just use any small wire that I can find.
