Hey guys,
This will be my 4th build and I need some quick advise.  I am using MarkM's Ross Compressor Layout.

Looking at the layout, I assume C1 is the input cap and C15 is the output cap.  Or is C16 the output cap?  Anyways I will socket both the input and output caps and transistors to experiment.  Is there anything else other than the mentioned components that could benefit from socketing (experimentally).  I'm sure the opamp could be swapped as well.  Thanks in advance.

Jonathan,

C1 is indeed the input cap, but C14 is the output cap.
The opamp is not a plain opamp but an OTA (operational transconductant amplifier) and as far as I know there is no pin compatable replacement for this IC.
