Yeah  ;D,

I drilled the holes for the anti-twist pin on the 16mm pots
WITHOUT GOING THRU.

My Dr Boogey will have all six pots in a line across a 1590BB.
I knew it would be a good idea to use the anti-twist.

But what a hassle I though?
Turned out to be very easy with my $39 8" drill press.

I placed the pot in the hole and marked the tab with a sharp scribe.
A 7/64 drill bit was the perfect size for these 16mm Alphas.

I just did a little at a time. Checked with a pot. Removed a little more, checked again, so on.
Easy as pie. I will do this more now.

Other posters had mentioned this and I was like, what a drag, just snip it off eh!
Well, no more. So nice to tighten down the pots with the anti-twist.

This is definitely going on my "best practices list".
I would like to thank the forum for another adopted technique that makes me a better builder.

Anti-twist holes don't go through.

It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith

Neat. Where'd you get the drill press?

Very good, looks like its pretty close to going through.  Recently I figured out that the weird washer with the tab that comes with toggle switches is for the same deal.  And just 5 minutes ago I figured out you can put it and the lock washer inside and inside by drilling partway through like you did, by going switch, lockwasher, washer with tab, box, nut.

Can you get an anti twist washer with the tab that fits the odd .46" diameter of stompswitches, I wonder?  They seem to be the most likely to get loose...
