Fuzz Face Debug

Hi im building a fuzz face PNP according to GGG's layout, i followed it exactly and it worked for a few days and now when the effect is engaged no sound is produced.
Q1 E=6.1        Q2 E=6.4    C1=0         R2=3.4
     B=1.4             B=3.4    C2= 6.1     R3=6.1
     C=3.4             C=6.4   C3=6.1       R4=8.8
and the ground is 6.1V
can somebody please help me figure this one out

Can you give us a link to exactly the schematic you used?

The voltages you list don't seem to match up. For instance, ground is always 0V by definition. So ground can't be 6.1V.

Did you try to do the negative ground trick on this PNP circuit?

what would make my ground voltage = 6.1V?

your ground is touching something that has voltage.
check all your connections and especially for solder bridges where they shouldn't be.

Alright, ive completely unwired the thing except for the - battery and im gettin the same voltage through Q1E as the ground and they are attached on the layout. A jumper means just a connection right? because for the jumper i just took the extra part of leg from a transistor. http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/fuzzface_lo_pp.gif
Also im just curious if the positve side of C1 is supposed to be 0
and one more thing, how would i go about removing the dc jack from the circuit

the voltage of the ground is now 1.2V

seriouslyi cant see any solder bridges whatsoever, is it possible to be anything else
