What do we know about the Boss PS-3? Guts, digital/analog, whatever...

These things are real expensive used now, and I've never seen a schematic or gut shots of one.  Obviously its a digital chip, is it based on a programmed/flashed rom?  DSP?
I'm Elmore James, bitch!

Dunno, I'm sure its copy protected, whatever the chip is.  Those are fun though, the detune is great, because you can detune sharp and flat.  The consecutive pitch shift on each repeat is cool too, I can replicate that part with my PS5 in the regeneration path of delays from the modded dd-2 I just did.  A caricature of tape delay warble.  Same mod would work for any delay with an analog feedback path.

I don't know about the 3 but the PS2 is definitely digital and has a custom Boss ASIC inside.
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

Looks like a custom chip in mine, great bit of kit though, it was around £90 even second hand !!
