I'm thinking about buying a new laser printer, I will only be using the printer to make PCBs. Any thoughts on what to buy? What works best?

I bought a Dell 1100 for that very purpose and it works great! You can get them for $50 on Ebay. It's a great deal if you ask me.

I bought a Brother for $99(AUD) and it does the job
