on an old (or RI) Fender amp. I have a RI Vibroverb, and I want to make a switch just like the one my amp came with, but with LEDS for the state of the reverb and vibrato. I just don't want to pull my pedal apart to copy the wiring.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks!

The schematic for the footswitch should be on the amp schematic.

As for the LED you could use a power source of some kind like a battery in the box and use DPDT switches with one pole controlling the LED.

Thanks andrew. Not on the schem. I thought it would be too. I'm actually cool with how to apply the LED. I'm just unclear as to how the pedal "tells" the amp to turn on/off the FX. The amp is at my rehearsal space, so I can't look at it, but I can't remember if it's a stereo or mono plug that goes into the amp. 99% sure it's mono.
I'm making my box with an in jack, like a regular stompbox, so I can put any cable between it and the amp, I'm just unclear as to what to do with the tip, ground, (ring?) etc.
It's gotta be pretty simple, right?

thanks again,

Chuck

It shouldn't be tough. If the RI follows the lines of Fender's other RIs then it should be a stereo 1/4" plug. Sleeve is ground, ring is reverb, and tip is tremolo. Grounding the ring should turn off the reverb. Grounding the tip turns on the tremolo.
