Trace Elliot SMX Dual Compressor, can it be modded?

I recently aquired one of these compressors to use on my bass, it is a really good pedal, but im finding the eq balance isnt to my liking. So are there any mods for this, or any suggestions as to how i could mod it. I was thinking of a pre shap mid shift like the trace amps, or another pot for controlling bass and another one for mids/treble. Also are there any schematics for it on the internet?

Why don't you use your amp controls?

Is the problem when you engage the compressor that the sound becomes a little midrangy compared to the clean (pass through) signal?

i really dont like the mid range of my amp, its got awsome high end and great low end, but yer its lacking in the middle. But i just wandering if u can do to make it more interesting.
