Ah well.  At least you tried.  Still doesn't make much sense to me why the stock switch works but rerouting the two contacts to a second switch doesn't. ???

Mark-

So I go into my shop this morning, plug my rig in, and I guess just so I could annoy myself a bit more, plug the pedal in.

...stupid thing works!!

..... 99% of the time, which is about how it was before. I reckon the solvent had a chance to really etch the contacts, ergo all of a sudden different unit. -it's the only explaination I can fathom!

Let's see what happens!

Thanks again,
Chris

So after reading. On the dano and boss pedals I would just have to simply swap out the stock switch for a spst footswitch (two contacts)?

About the treble and buffer problem. I dont think i would have that with 2 or 3 boss or dano pedals. Does anyone think I would?

Can anyone help explain wiring pedal to pedal to pedal? Thanks as i am new at this.

about the switch:

yes, just make sure it is MOMENTARY!

about the wiring:

everything is the same as if they were in boxes, only the leads that went to the jacks are "tied" to one another. otherwise, exactly the same.

By saying "the leads that went to the jacks are tied to one another" does that mean I just take both wires from the jacks and put them together and send them to the neck pedal?

By momentary what do you mean?
Can i just take the spst switch and make a swap out?

With this one?

Is just the swap all i do with the boss, dano, and ibanez pedals?

Thanks alot

basically, what i am saying is you just tie the wire that went to "tip" on the out jack of each pedal to the "tip" wire of the input of the next pedal. same with "sleeve." i'm not real sure how else i can word this, so maybe another forumite can.

momentary switches make contact when you press them down but then release when you take your foot off. what you have listed there is a switch that locks position. think of it like an intercom switch. there is the kind you hold a button down to speak then release when you are done. that's a momentary switch. then there are the kind you flip a toggle on to talk, then flip it again when you are done. that is non-momentary. when you press the stock switch and release it, you are making a "momentary" connection to ground to flip the mosfet switching, but it doesn't switch until after the ground connection is made then broken. so you need a momentary switch so that it makes contact for a second then releases.

Do you know where a momentary spst switch is sold? I checked small bear but it didnt say momentary so from what you said i assume it wont work.

Thanks for the help!
