would this transformer 165P60 http://www.hammondmfg.com/pdf/5c0015.pdf be a good choice for this power supply??? http://europa.spaceports.com/~fishbake/amp/ca100.htm If not, what would be a good choice?

also... are the caps polarity and value noted in the power supply schematic correct? They seem a little high.

If it were not a hammond, I would say it might be underrated but it is very likely OK since Hammonds are well guardbanded. And, judging from the physical dimensions of the core and winding, that transformer is a tank.

The 50V filter caps are cutting it close. You may want to up those to 65V caps to ensure longevity.

Is there another PT you would recommend?

You're right about the voltage on the caps.  I'll use some 63 volters....

That one is fine. Go with it.

By the way, make sure the diodes you pick for the recto can support a peak current of at least 100A and shoot for about 200A. I'm betting the effective resistance of the secondary is between 0.3 and 0.5 ohm and the initial charging current spike will be between 100 and 200A worst case.
