Probably an impedance issue?

Hi.

I was repairing some pedals for my friend and he came up with this problem. He said, when he was using effects with his keyboard (from aux. out)
the sound of the pedals was bad and weak. With guitar he had no such a problem. Could it be that the output impedance of the keyboard (from aux. out)
don't match well with the input impedance of pedals? Or is the signal leve from aux out just too weak? Could it be solved with some kind of buffer/preamp?
Maybe one with adjustable gain? Any information or experiences with same kind of problems are welcome.
Thanks

 Yes.

It could indeed be an impedance problem. Or a level problem. Or a frequency response problem. The buffer could solve the first 2, but the pedals (such as a TS) may just simply be voiced for guitar.

Aux out of what? Moog? Casio? Rhodes? B3? Synclavier? Steam organ? Prophet 5? Teleharmonium?  :icon_question: Might shed further light on the problem... ;D

Yeah steam organ! Ha Ha!!!!  "Well actually I was at band practice with the mormon tabernackle running the pipe organ  into my tubescreamer and it sounds a little funny..."
