I just about to finish populating the board and I realize that resistors 21 and 22 are not identified in the part list.
Anyone can tell me the values?
thanks!

 ???
I'm not sure which resistors you are talking about.

oldrocker

They look labled to me.  That's where I got the info.
R21 - 100K
R22 - 2.7K

As far as I know there are 2 layout versions of the big muff triangle version. One on a perfboard layout(I think this is the one oldrocker looked for me) by Andrew Carrell. But this is a different layout than the one im using which is the MarkM layout, this layout is not only different from the other but seems to have less components(1 resistor).

So anyway Im aware of the values on the Andrew Carrell layout, are you sure that it fits with the coresponding resistors in the MarkM layout?
I hope this makes sense, Im quite sick with the flu, so Im way out there in lala land!
Cheers

Alright!, thanks Mark, so yea I dont know why but I had an older layout, luckily there are no changes to the other components. I have to say this was a difficult build, the values seem to be not conventional, Im no expert so I cant comment more, but I had to put some small caps in parralell to get some values. I cant wait to fire this up....so Mark, I have put the trannys on sockets so eventually I can test others, but for now all I have are the 2n3904. Are these close to the type of sound you like with the 2n5088?

I've tried 3904's and they sound good only a slight difference to my ears.  Since you socket yours you can always try different one later as you order more components.

Thanks for the tip oldrocker, im actually debugging now, I have an audio probe and so I have signal up to the base of Q4, so im almost there.Id like to know one thing, I was under the assumption that in a EBC tranny, the collector was the "input of signal", base has current and emmitor has "output of amplified signal".
But the way I see it on the board, it seems that the collector is going to the output volume pot...I changed the tranny thinking it was busted, turns out its fine...I should be getting an audio signal at the collector leg on Q4?....
in either case, right now the problem is that I have no audio signal on collector and emmitor of Q4. The base though has the signal.
Other than that, from what I hear, I think I have created a monster!!!, this thing seems LOUD!,
anyway so, im happy about the perf job, I wish I did not have to use the cable jumpers but I got stuck a bit with the big caps...

momo, where did you get them blue caps?
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

i am a wah pervert...ask away...

momo

Im in Montreal, and we have a couple of shoddy electronic stores that sell cheap crap, these I got from the only decent store in town, its actually their "inhouse" brand...first time using them...
Funny I thought I would have questions about the old wax caps! :icon_wink:

Well, im a bit stumped as to why nothing goes further than the signal at the base on Q4, I do get battery voltage level on collector of Q4,but no sound output on emmitor or collector.
But when I get this debugged, well if I judge from the output at the base of Q4....man wow :icon_eek: :icon_eek:, awsome tone and saturation but especially the overtones that develop on the decay is just, well, I have no words!!,,I happen to have a metal plate on my bridge strat pup....man that is just awsome....thanks to everyone involved in making this effect available and tweaked!

So any ideas to help me debug he last stage?
