I'm trying to build a single loop true bypass box with a tuner mute...  would this work?

I know this should be easy but I can't think clearly lately.  Any help is much appreciated!!!

Now that I think about it...  wouldn't that only give me the tuner out option when the effects are active and not bypassed?

I just found this:

These diagrams are what you need.  The loop diagram is owned by Andi Allan of monkeyfx.co.uk and the tuner mute diagram is owned by Andreas Moller of stinkfoot.se.

A 1K resistor will be fine for the LEDs, but if you want to be more precise Jack Orman has a great online calculator for LEDs at muzique.com.

Basically what I need to know now is if the tuner switch needs to go before or after the bypass switch?

Take another look, the left footswitch is the effects loop, the red wire that goes on to the tuner mute switch on the right, carries either the loop return or the input.  To mentally follow those kind of diagrams, just imagine how the signal flows when each 3pdt switch is in each position.  Like following a copper road.  The switches being traffic lights.  The diagram could be better, the switch lugs should be wider than they are tall, for clarity of how to orient the switches.

If you connected the second batch of diagrams together, it would work exactly like the first one.  The first makes a good decision by putting the tuner mute second, so when you hit it, there isn't any potential noise from the effects in the loop (being fed no input, but you are still hearing their output), when the loop is on.
