Has anyone built the Ron Black tube distortion circuit?  I searched and didn't come up with a lot.  It seems like a simple circuit that would be a good platform for mods.

Also - The power supply uses a transformer to get 12VAC from 120VAC.  Couldn't I just use a 12VAC wall wart instead of the x-frmr?

Thanks for your opinions.

An AC wall wart is a transformer. ;)

Make sure your wall adapter can supply at least 300mA. 'Cuz thats what the 12ax7 draws for heater current.
