hi guys, got a faulty DD-3, it happened when i plugged a negative pin through it's dc jack, now there's still LED light, but just no delay effect, and turning the effect level knob has no effect...

Anyone knows what can i do to repair? Someone mentioned a change of diode would bring this pedal back...

Please help.

Thanks
Ken

Which version of the DD are we talking about? The older one wit a chip about as wide as the case or the newer one with a similar chip in SMD package and only one memory chip (an it's own PCB).

As for something to start with:
Check if the power supply reverse diode is damaged.
and, since the LED still lights, check if the 78L05 voltage regulator (looks like a transistor) has 9 volts input and 5 volts output.
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

Hi Dirk, it's the new ones with smt components...git to locate this v. regulator...which is it?
