Hi,

So I have been having some trouble. I want to build a fuzz face. I love the sound of the sun face with bc108's that analog man makes. I have been trying to find out what other parts and their values go with it. On ggg it says to replace the 470 ohm transistor with a 330. Becides that change what else would I do?

I will be running this with a power supply. I hear fuzz faces sound different with a power supply. So Would I maybe change the values of parts to make it sound how it would with a battery?

Thanks

Matt

The 330R/470R changes the output level a bit.

To tweak the sound you can adjust the 8.2k resistor.  Usually best when the voltage on Q2's collector is about 4.8V.

just build a silicon fuzz face setup on a breadboard and plug in the bc transistor,
then just take it from there.

how could you be in trouble when you haven't started building it yet? only takes 30min max

Why don`t you try the multi-face at runoffgroove.http://www.runoffgroove.com/multiface.html
Lots of fun to be had trying different configurations of transistors and capacitors. You can still use the bc108`s if you like. It is ideal if you want to tweak the circuit to your own personal tastes and a great way to learn how each component interacts.
