Hi guys,

I need some help here. My made in Japan DD-3 have some bypass problem. It's very soft even when I turn effect level to max. When I plug it in together with my other effects, the volume so soft that I need to on my amp to max volume to hear it. Is this a bypass problem? Does anyone have a similar problem?

Thank you so much for all your help in advance. :)

Sounds like a problem with the pedal. I have a DD3 and it's OK, I don't really notice any tone sucking. Mine's a blue label Taiwan made unit.

Read the "what to do when it doesnt work" thread at the top of the building your own stompbox forum.

Basically you are going to have to get a multimeter and an audio probe and spend a lot of time messing with the circuit to find out what has gone wrong.

Tbh, this is going to be hard to explain, especially since you've not done anything like this before.

It doesnt sound like it is anything to do with the bypass.
