This is my first real build and im so happy :icon_mrgreen:, the Neovibe is what made me want to start this new obsession and I just finished it....I really like the recycling bit and so I had this old projector, dismantled it and so far it has given me lots of goodies(caps), anyway, the part you see that is added will house either a Bigg Muff or FuzzFace, they lock together like a puzzle :icon_biggrin:, ill try to power it of the 18v PSU. I guess I was kind of lucky with this , everything fit well.I even put a PSU metal housing that had a lamp in it for the projector. The bottom plates (2) come from a computer and fit perfectly!
Oh and no footswitch...im intigrating this onto a looper bar with a dedicated Switch.

Ha, makes me laugh,38 views and no one is brave enough to say they hate it!  Hey Guys, I really dont mind if you dont like the casing or finish, it is different, but its my first baby, so just like any mom with the ugliest baby around, well she does not think so! :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
What I really like is the added part that will house a compatible distortion/Fuzz.
Have a great day

Hola!
I like it, i like different enclosures though. Mine is quite different also. Seems like you fit the transformer in there? Was it you who used  a torodial transformer? Any hum?
Where's the stompswitch?

Anyway, i think it is cool... nice work.

Those 'ol projector finishes are super cool, and I think they're about the only items with that exact type of finish on 'em.
Looks all industrial like you needed to house the pump and relay so had a molded metal case made to fit !
The thing about Vibes is they're so cool, it doesn't matter how beautiful the case is.
 You've done fine work !

 :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:Thanks!

Yea I like the finish, for your info, I had some flakes of it come off and so I can say that they did it in 2 phases, they added the base color and then while its still wet sprayed on the gritty texture. The color is cool, the ac cable and big knob comes from the projector, so colorwise it fits.
Yes I used the torrodial psu, and apart from the load/no load factor that is hard to aproximate, its super quiet and small. Again I was very lucky, the black metal housing the psu is in comes also from the projector AND fit perfectly with the casing and psu. The Vibe is quiet, I dont know if it would be without the metal casing.(note: R.G stated that the neovibe is not particularly prone to noise),so for the other member with a noisy vibe, I guess it would be direct ground related and not induction.
No footswitch as it will be intigrated onto a looper bar with its dedicated footswitch.
thanks for the comments, good or bad!

So heres is what I did with the interlocking piece, It was either going to be a fuzzFace of Bigg Muff...depending on which one I debugged first!...Well its a FuzzFace! PNP Ge. This is now my Jimi in a box.....sort of :icon_lol:

again I was lucky, the custom fitting bottom was included in the dismantling! I put a clear plastic cover for the window on the circuit.

thanks for the kind words, I really got alot of things to reuse on this projector, and guess what, I saw an exact copy selling for 60 dollars at a pawn shop :icon_eek:, Im trying to hold back on bying it, but man for 60 dollars I would get a blackplate 12ax7, these enclosures, great 1950's sprague wax caps, good pots, good cloth wireing, and much more....but I would like at some point to start using normal enclosures.. :icon_mrgreen:

Go for it! That is an amazing enclosure- much more interesting and cooler than any hammond box I've ever worked with. I'm getting tired of the hammond boxes myself...

Lol, thats the Ugliest looking FXs system ever!  :icon_eek:
Its like some kind of "Hunchback of Notre dame" of effects enclosures  ;D
You should get an award for that!

ambulancevoice

why not wire a outside bypass switch for the neovibe section
like this for example http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=43469.0

Ha, thanks RaceDriver!, you know what they say, any publicity is better than none!, yea it does look a bit archaic and heavy set....now you made me realize, the people are going to look at that and say "AH, thats how he gets his great tone"..... :icon_cry: "No No, its not a magic box, the tone comes from my fingers...yes its true,,I tell you its not a magic box, really...."

Ambulancevoice,I did not put a footswitch because I will integrate the vibe on a looper bar with its dedicated switch there, so I guess its a bit like what you suggested.
