We had our local amp-fest here today and I won a Voodoo Labs sparkle boost!  WooHoo!  I wanted to try it out tonight, but I can't find a 9V battery for the life of me. 

I know it's not a DIY stompbox, but hey, it was free!  I'll post a few more details when I can stay awake easier.

That's where I started.  It was dead, just like the rest of them.  None of the batteries that I found had enough left to power the DMM.  Wanna know what the worst part is?  I didn't even bother to plug in the sparkle drive just on the off chance there was already one in there!  Guess what?  There was!  AAAAAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhh!

I bought a couple of batteries and opened it up to put one in and there's a nice fresh new battery staring back at me.  Boy did I feel dumb.  I mean even more-so than usual.
