DIYers,
This really I appreciate if someone could guide me what ICAR pot is? Is it same with Reverse audio taper or Logarithmic audio taper pot? I'm sure it's not linear but how could one convert linear pot to imitate ICAR taper pot? I read the secret life of pot by R.G. but no review included if I'm right. Thanks

Roger

Geoffrey Teese said, that you can replace the 0,22uF capacitor feeding the middle lug (I think) of the potentiometer with a 0,33uF cap and get almost the same feel as with a ICAR-taper. Just a tip!

Thanks Jakenold,
Yes,  I read the G.Teese advise and his tip for us if you already has existing wah and use this tip mod to mimic ICAR pot . But what if I still don't have yet and I'm planning to do my next project is Wah. Here in the Philippines we hardly can't find this type of pot and my only option is to convert one.
Thanks again brother.

Hey Roger.

Good, you did your homework  :D I read a test somewhere (I'll post it if I find it) that compared some newer pots with the original ICAR's. The Fulltone was almost spot on. Use that, or the ProPot which I perfer. They are very nice and you should be able to get them sent to your country!

Thanks Jakenold,
By the way what kind of taper pot is Wah? What makes ICAR, fulltone and ROC and their attributes special compare to standard one?  R.G. , Mark, Paul and Andrew or someone? thanks in advance.

Regards
Roger
