E-H wiggler bypass

Howdy,
    I got curious as to whether or not this baby was true-bypass.  So I popped it in with the AC plug in the jack but no power from the wall.  Sure enough, I got signal.  Then weirdness happened... I clicked the switch and still got signal!!!  What kind of bypass is capable of doing that?  Any insight? Pure-tube?

In the rare case it got a relay, that could happen.. Or with other devices too, in case you get dead with abttery it will get bypassed so you don't get without signal.. Or maybe if when bypassed the signal gets mixed with the dry to achieve the effects.. You don't have wet, but still get dry(if not amplified)

Yes, it uses a relay up by the jacks,if one wanted they could make it remotely bypassed by taking out the footswitch and putting in a jack, then you could run a cord to a regular amp footswitch to bypass it, since the spst footswitch just sends an on or off control signal up to the relay section.

Hey, I had a question for you if you don't mind, do you get a crazy sub frequency throb (from the LFO bleeding into the audio, not ring modulation or anything cool like that) with the rate up somewhat and the depth past 12 o'clock?  I haven't been able to decide if it's something with mine or the design, I corresponded briefly with Puretube, the designer, a little about it but didn't nail down if it was something up with mine or if its working as intended and that's a drawback of that circuit.

This custom design has the remote switch jack instead of a stompswitch.

Bleedthrough might be a layout issue?

That's a pretty cool option to have with the jacks.  As for the throb, I don't really get too much of that.  I get more of a wooshing & swirling of static that is fairly low volume.  I figure it's just amplifying the hum from the single coils + overdrive.  There have been a few (one or two) times I get a throbbing sound, but it goes away if I try another power outlet.  It seems to me like a grounding issue with the power where I live. 

Question for you:  Where in your signal path to do you have it?  I have mine 2nd to last, before my booster.  I know people tend to put uni-vibe style circuits before distortion.  Just wanted to hear your opinion on that.

AFTER the booster.
The Wiggler itself is capable of boosting the output louder than it`s input...
(or do you need the booster switchable, and the boosted - before Wiggler - signal distorts the vibrato?)
