Hey guys,
I have a Whirlwind IMP 2 that i use for my acoustic. It works fine, except I use an acoustic during two different parts of our set.  I'm sick of the soundguy not hearing that i'm disconnecting and "popping" the hell out of everyone's ears.  I want to add an spst switch to break the connection, so i can just leave it plugged in.  If i wanted to add an LED would i be able to do this without a battery?  can i leech power from the transformer?

thanks,
jonathan

That's a passive direct box... nothing to leech. Is there room inside for a footswitch and battery? If not, maybe a rehouse? ;)
I am not responsible for your imagination.

i was thinking a rehouse would most likely in order... the only thing about that is that whirlwind brags that the transformer is rivited and not glued :)

ah, i guess i'll have to put in a battery in..... dpdt here i come!
