I just scored some old Ge Transistors from a local shop for a super low price, just to save the part...
(otherwise they would rot in that box..)

Since they have four leads and i didn't find a good datasheet, does anyone know what's their pinout?

They are HITACHI 2SA234 and there's a small triangle marking one of the leads.

Any use for them?

thanks

Arn C.

2SA234 =   NTE 160

PNP Ge    RF-IF Amp, FM Mixer/OSC
Ic =  .01  (Maximum collector current amps)
Bv CBO = 30 (collector to base volts)
Bv CEO =  20 (CES)    (collector to emitter volts)
BV EBO = 0.3   (emitter to base volts
hfe =  50  (typical forward current gain)
PD =  0.06  (maximum power dissipation watts)
ft  =  700  (typical frequency)

Here's the info,  not sure what you could use it for, but maybe someone else knows!

Peace!

Thanks!

Looking at the devices, i think i figured out the pinout.
The fourth lead is a little further away from the other three,
which are in line and one of them is marked with the reverse triangle...

But what is the fourth lead for?

shielding?

Hope this helps!
