I am building the AMZ Minibooster , I have all the components except for the 3.3 mf NP cap in C2.  I do have a 2.2 mf NP.  Can anyone tell me what affect using the lower value cap would have?  Less gain?

Thanks.

Probably wouldn't have any noticeable effect.

by the way welcome to the forum :)

To my knowledge, and the AMZ site, it would make no difference.

It will change the low cutoff frequency from aprox. 10 Hz to 15 Hz, which shouldn't be noticeable for guitar purposes.  Even 1uF could be considered full range for guitar purposes (around 30 Hz).

For some interesting variation you could try 220nF (aprox. 160 Hz) or even 100nF (aprox. 320 Hz) low frequency cutoff.

Thanks to everyone. I got it working last night and sounds real good. Now, I'll have to get more ambitious, maybe the fat boostered.
