w00t! I've built about 4 pedals now and this is the first I've had a problem with (I've been lucky ;-). I'm using the layout at tonepad (I bought a pcb from there). http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=84 for the project file.

here are the IC voltages with all the controls maxed

IC1
Pin - voltage
1 - 4.09
2 - 4.09
3 - 4.00
4 - 0
5 - 4.00
6 - 4.00
7 - 4.01
8 - 8.54

IC2
Pin - Voltage
1 - 5.72
2 - 5.74
3 - 5.8
4 - 0
5 - 5.96
6 - 5.75
7 - 6.58
8 - 8.56

I've check and rechecked components, orientation and traces with a DMM and checked the component values as well. The LED blinks when the knobs are in some positions (but not all)...(this may be because the led is blinking quickly).

There is no sound when the effect is engaged.. so i guess my main problem is in the buffer area?  (IC1).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Richard.
