The parts list for the Dr. Boogey at gaussmarkovs site lists 500KA or 1MA gain pot.

Is there one that most people use?

John Lyons

500KA should be fine. I've used 1M though.

Does the 500KA work the same as the 1M. Any difference in gain.

John Lyons

The DB has more gain that the dual rectifier does.
Soldano SLO 100 uses 500K I don't think there is much difference
in gain with 500K vs 1M but it will be more stable I'd say.

Which would be more stable 500 or 1M?

John Lyons

It depends on how neat your wiring is etc etc.
Either will be fine. 500k will be less prone to
oscillation though I'd say. Just build it and see.

Ive already built it with the 500k. It sounds good I will keep it.
