removing the buffer from my CRYBABY

Hello guys i have 2 questions considering my original Crybaby. I wanna remove the input buffer+DPDT and rework the circuit so it is a bit closer to VOX.
My Crybaby is GCB-95 and i bought it new in about 1995.

1. Shall i remove the 68k resistor right behind the buffer as well (it doesn't exist at VOX schematics and i am not completely sure what is this attenuation for ...)
2. The inductor doesn't look like typical GCB-95 inductor but more like the older model with a screw in the centre that pokes up from the top of the plastic cover.
I am not sure about the inductance, is there any simple way to measure it? Do i have to remove the inductor from the circuit to measure it?
I have read somewhere that these were about 500mH while the new ones are 600mH ...

There are also some changes at my circuit comparing the schematics posted - 2.2M resistor in parallel with the 22p cap (the very input), 100n cap in parallel with 200u cap ...

Thank you

thank you i have read it, but it doesn't answer my questions :(
but thanks

Do you mean that 68k input resistor? Here is some info about that in the middle of this page. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/wah.html

those inductors were all over the map, too. i think youll get closer to home in some of the newer inductors, really.

but a dmm that measures inductance will do the trick! no need to remove, just find the two "hot" posts.
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

i am a wah pervert...ask away...
