Kay Trem transistor choices

Looking to build a KAY trem with parts I have on hand.  Could it be built with 2n3904's in every "Q" position.   Or a mix of 3904's and 5088's.  THANKS

you may have to mess around with biasing a bit? i just finished up a fuzz box that calls for 3409's and was able to run it on 5088's without much of a problem. you can always socket the transistors in case they don't work well.

I believe "Keens Law" can be applied to this circuit!  :icon_wink:
