hi guys,

I need to get some capacitors for a pedal im going to build.  I have no issues locating ceramic or electrolytic however I am a bit stumpted when searching for film capacitors.  For instance im only able to find capacitors at a store under the headings of

- bipolar
- ceramic
- elecrolytic
- greencaps
- low ESR
- mains
- MKT
- monolithic
- tantalum
- timmer

Are any of these also considered to be film?

thanks

go to a big supplier and check out the stock.  for example, mouser.com and follow the links:  products -> passive components -> capacitors -> film.  mouser claims to have about 20,000 items in this category.  browse to your heart's content.  :icon_wink:

The "greencaps" and MKT are mylar film.

The others are not.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
