i got a johnson tube overdrive and a johnson flanger.  about to take a look inside and seed what parts i got or what repairs need to be made.  i think the tube OD is supposed to be a 808 copy, its even green painted and the model is TOD9, lol.  cheap johnson pedals tho, any ideas what i should do with them?

edit, i mean ts9 not 808, or maybe it is 808, who knows, i will take a look and maybe post some guts

ps these are the boss style enclosures so im excited to even have an empty box if the pedals suck even after fixing

You know how broken they are yet?  or what signs of problems they have?

hubble

he said they just quit working one day.

i just checked the TOD9 and it works.  i think he must have fiddled with the footswitch because the little screw that locks the spring/footswitch thing wasnd secured.  well im kind of disappointed!  but at least i can mod it and have a 2nd tube screamer.  or sell my original.

about to get to the flanger, maybe he had the same problem

hubble

crap.  well the both work.  well i guess i can use some of the parts.  the flanger sucks, but it the switch was not locked in because a tab broke, i can easily get one of those mountain switches to replace it, or hotglue it.  everything works fine on both.  the guy gave them to me mainly because he couldnt get them working, but also he has a digital amp so he doesnt like stompboxes and he figured i could use to parts or the boxes.  so, yay!

GREEN FUZ

I purchased a "broken" Marshall EH-1 off a guy on ebay. The story went that he had loaned the pedal to a friend who had subsequently returned it saying that it no longer worked properly. True enough when I received it, it was making the most ungodly noises when I plugged it in. I had a look inside to see if there were any obviously blown parts but it all looked fine.

Long story short the battery was dying and the pedal didn`t function well on low power. With a power supply it worked as new and I got a very cheap echo pedal.
