FSH-1 Noise and the resonance pot

I have been playing around with the FSH-1 looking for the source of the noise problem. It occurred to me that the resonance pot is looks like a great place for noise to enter to audio path. It's directly in the audio path and it's in the feedback path of the OTA. On the Tonepad layout it's very close to the rate pot and LFO where it feeds into the noise source.

What do the experts think, does this sound reasonable? What would be a good way to test this theory?
