Calabrating the Digitech Whammy

I was wondering if it is possible to calabrate the whammy so the sweep of the pedal when you use it is smoother. I find that it is not smooth in its stock calabration.

I dont have a manual...

yes, there is a pdf file of both the new and old whammy pedals on digitech's site.

i find my wh-1 to have a less abrupt "whammy" than the wh-4.
