8 way switch - the hard way (pics)

I am reposting this here, as suggested. This is based on Soul Sonic's drawing of a 4 way switcher http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=58076.msg451899#msg451899 .

Don't build this. I was just trying to learn a few things and had some free time. I'm probably going to use R.G.'s octal latch solution instead.

 

This is: two CD4050s >going into> eight CD4068 8 input AND gates >controlling> two CD4044 S/R latches >that flip> the individual switches of two CD4066s

I did learn more than a few things about logic chips.
So, buy some and check 'em out with your breadboard.


The CD4066s are not on the breadboard.
