I have at the bench for repairs one Snarling Dogs Blue Doo and i know that this product is discontinued, can i place some photos here ?
It´s a cheap pedal and can be easily found around here, for me , there is no point in clone one of those but might be interesting for some people living in some countries where this product is not available.

Thanks.

AFAIK, you've already missed the boat. It's a clone of a Marshall Bluesbreaker I think, something like that. I say go for it, Snarling Dogs folded a long time ago. Besides, the popularity of the originals might increase if they develop a clone cult ;)

It's a Hot Tubes/Tube Sound Fuzz derivitive. We traced the other two pedals in that series (Black Dog, Tweed E Dog). I would be interested in what changes make up the Blue Doo. Here's the other two:

If you could add the cap changes or whatever on your pedal, we would have them covered.

Edit- Oh yea, here's a shot of theTweed E PCB.

Here´s the pcb.
I will post the component side pic with the values later.

Is there anything written on the Zener diode? I really liked my Black Dog and recorded with it but it went when I started building my own pedals. I'd like to build a clone if poss. Is the pedal true bypass? I never looked.

That part of the circuit can be ignored if you will use one 3PDT or one DPDT with the millennium bypass for the on/off led.

I will post the off board wiring and some more important information later, i didn´t have time to do it yet.

Is this the two knob or three knob version?   I have a 3 knob Blue Doo and it looks much different.

Samy

This is the 2 knob version, i didn´t know there was a 3 knob version !

Here´s the layout:
