Power Supply Question...

I recently purchased a pedalboard from trailer trash pedal boards. I'm using two voodoo labs pedal power II's. The cool thing about these pedal boards is that there are jacks on the side for all the connections to/from the board. This is also true of the power.

Basically I'm trying to figure out the best way to wire up the power. So far I've snipped one of the power cables (the kind that are used for amps and computers) and hard wired the three wires (hot, cold, ground) to the AC jack. I then plugged the 2nd power supply into the courtesy jack of the first power supply. I've since added a typical wall style outlet to the board which I will have to supply with power as well.

So what it boils down to is...

Should I be daisy chaining these together like I am? Or should I just hook them all up to the main AC jack on the side of the board? (series connection??? parallel connection???) Will one way or the other be more prone to hum?

FYI the writing on the pedal power II's courtesy jack says max 200 watts. I'm in the U.S. so I'm dealing with about 120 volts.

I hope all this makes sense as it's not the easiest thing to explain.   :)

Thanks for the help all!

The AC inputs from the wall through IEC's, when they are just plugged in, are parallel.
Seriesing is out, unless...  er basically you don't want that.
Making all the 'I's common and E's common and C's common makes the same connections as plugging in a bunch of IEC cables.
I could use a double ended IEC cable, 1 AC wall plug and two IEC ends...they're probably out there, and would speed wiring...I would just wrap the cable length into the mixer/echo cabinet...let me know if you find one pre-made, I was thinkng about cutting and mending one together..anhh
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Hey Pete, thanks for the info. I would have to cut the wall end off of the cable anyway so I'm more willing to take a DIY approach. From what I gathered from your post I should just connect all the hots together, all the neutrals together, and all of the grounds together? That was my gut instinct but I just didn't know if that would cause one or more of the power supplies to get less voltage than they needed. (I have no idea what I'm talking about). Thanks for the help though! VERY much appreciated.

Can anybody confirm what I wrote above? I just REALLY don't want to get zapped, or worse, have my new pedalboard go up in flames...  :o

hmmm... Alright then, wish me luck!!!   ;D
